René La Taupe Releases Latest Single Tu Parles Trop

Berlin, October 11, 2010 – René La Taupe, the affable and humorous singing mole, has released his latest, highly anticipated single, Tu Parles Trop (Engl.: You Talk too much) in France. René’s latest single debuts on the heels of his wildly popular hit single, Mignon Mignon, which after being on No. 1 on France’s Digital Download Singles Chart (Disqueenfrance.com, SNEP),  now leads the CD Single charts (Disqueenfrance.com, SNEP) for 6 weeks already.

In his latest song, like in his previous No. 1 single, René discusses everyday issues in his trademark sarcastic voice and it is entertaining as always.  In Tu Parles Trop, René reflects on people who talk too much, too loud and who can just be downright annoying. Nevertheless, following his very simple credo, “real love means loving everyone”, René doesn’t get angry at anyone and loves them for who they are.

“We are gratified that so many people from around the world have become so captivated with René La Taupe and we are delighted to announce his next single,” said William Linders, Executive Vice President Content at Fox Mobile Group.

René La Taupe was born in the Fox Mobile Group (FMG) studios in partnership with Famties Production. The animated, loveable mole made his musical debut as a ring tone only, but within months it became incredibly popular with people of all ages and thereafter he released a full-track single.  On YouTube, the video of Rene’s single, Mignon Mignon, has been viewed more than 10 million times.

René La Taupe’s new single, Tu Parles Trop, is now available in France for digital download and on mobile. The CD will be available in stores in France October 25. A full album from Rene is expected in November. More René La Taupe products including ring tones, video ring tones, wall papers, full track songs, and videos can be found here.

Bitbop Announces Mystery Contest - Be the First to Solve the Bitbop Mystery and Win a BlackBerry Bold 9700 and 3-month subscription to Bitbop

Beverly Hills, CA – Sept. 8, 2010 – Bitbop (www.bitbop.com  and m.bitbop.com), Fox Mobile Group’s on-demand mobile TV subscription service, today announced a contest giving participants the opportunity to solve a mystery for a chance to win a BlackBerry® Bold™ 9700 and a 3-month subscription to Bitbop.  Each day for seven days, one “sharp sleuth” will win.  The contest begins at 11:59 a.m. EST, September 8, and runs through September 15, 2010.

The Bitbop mystery contest is loosely based on a classic detective board game where participants are given clues and must solve the mystery.  Five members of the Bitbop team are “suspects” who could be watching one of five TV shows in one of five locations. Three different clues will be given each day via the Bitbop Facebook page (www.facebook.com/bitbop) and Twitter (www.twitter.com/bitbop) to help players solve the mystery. The first person to correctly identify which suspect is using Bitbop, what TV show they are watching, and where they are will win the prize for the day.

U.S. residents 18 and older can enter the contest each day, but can not enter more than once per day.  Participants in the Bitbop mystery contest do not need to be subscribers to the Bitbop service to participate.
“The inspiration for the Bitbop mystery contest came about through our own Bitbop team and subscribers who constantly exchange conversation about what they are watching and where they watch,” said Reid Genauer, Vice President, Bitbop, for Fox Mobile Group.  “With the ability to download shows or watch a show via 3G or wireless network, we hear of some interesting and often humorous places that people catch up on their favorite shows. We created this contest to give people a glimpse of where Bitbop employees use Bitbop and what they watch.”

The Bitbop mystery contest runs through 11:59 a.m. ET, September 15.  For official rules which include complete details about the contest, visit Bitbop at its official Facebook page.

René La Taupe Hits No. 1 on France’s Digital Download Singles Chart - The Animated Mole’s Hit Song Enters 6th Week in the Top Ten

Berlin, August 20, 2010 – René La Taupe, the affable and humorous singing mole, hit No. 1 on France’s official digital download chart (Disqueenfrance.com, SNEP) with his love song, Mignon Mignon, beating out competition from none other than Shakira and Katy Perry. After five weeks on the top-ten singles charts, Mignon Mignon has notched up to No. 1. On YouTube the song has been viewed more than 5 million times.

René La Taupe was born in the Fox Mobile Group (FMG) studios in partnership with Famties Production. The animated, loveable mole made his musical debut as a ring tone only and there was quickly demand for it to be released in May as a full track digital download. The song became wildly popular and an enormous hit. René is a favourite with everyone who hears the song for his outspoken personality. He is known for his ability to talk candidly about everyday issues in a sarcastic manner and tone to which everyone can relate. Mignon Mignon may be the first love song with the lyric “You are really cute even if you are fat”. But that’s the signature of René the mole, who is saying out loud what people may only have been thinking to themselves.

“We are extremely delighted about the popularity and instant success of René La Taupe,” said William Linders, Executive Vice President Content at Fox Mobile Group. “In conceiving René we wanted to create an entertaining, affable character who would have a connection with everybody. We look forward to more music from our favourite mole.”

René La Taupe’s CD single, Mignon Mignon, will be released in France on August 30 and his next single, C’est La Rentrée, will debut soon. The René La Taupe phenomenon includes other products such as ring tones, video ring tones, wall papers, the full track song, and videos that can be found here.
